How To Make A Bed Look Right

We make our bed every morning. No matter what. Yet, we often feel like, no matter how hard we try, our bed doesn't look quite right. We are often frustrated with how to make the bed look chic and elegant without being too fruffy or stuffy (no "for display only" throw pillows for us).  Because of the heat, we don't use a big fluffy duvet or comforter, but instead we have a few thinner cotton blankets.  Then we saw this bed in an old Elle decor. It belongs to J. Crew menswear director Frank Muytjens. For us, it's perfection: simple and chic and masculine and inviting.
